Centuries ago “Mud” and different types of natural beeswax, gums & resins was used as resists by artists to create patterns in dyeing & printing to color and decorate cloth using natural dyes which today has been replaced with wax & chemical resists. To keep this tradition alive in generations to come, effort from the industry artists is imperative to popularize and preserve this ancient art of mud-batik, with natural dyes. |
