Dorothy "Bunny" Bowen has been a textile artist working with wax resist, silk painting and other surface design techniques since 1980. She was a research associate for Spanish textiles at the Museum of International Folk Art, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

A contributing author for the Textile Tradition of New Mexico and Southern Colorado, Dorothy had her articles on batik, silk painting and other topics published in various publications. Her focus is on collections in the US and Europe. The former registrar at the World Batik Conference, Boston, is a member of the American Crafts Council.
